What Is Deschloroetizolam?

Deschloroetizolam, often shortened to deschloroetizolam, is a psychoactive substance of the thienodiazepine class. It is structurally related to benzodiazepines, etizolam (Etilaam), triazolam (Halcion), and alprazolam (Xanax). Deschloroetizolam binds to the GABA receptors in a similar way to benzodiazepines, producing depressant, anxiolytic, sedative, hypnotic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant and amnesic effects. It is not currently known how addictive deschloroetizolam is, but it is likely that it shares many of the same addictive properties as other benzodiazepines.
